The Inspiration of Music

With every note, the performer’s expressions and ideas are shared with the audience, a form of communication reaching deeper and connecting one soul to another. Often, music can be used to express more complex and touching ideas in the place of words.

The Lark, by Glinka

In this piece, the music creates a bittersweet image. The piece includes slightly happier and more peaceful moments, but always has an undercurrent of sadness and longing, as if looking back, resonating within the listener.

Fantasie-Impromptu, by Chopin

With a stronger and seemingly worried pace, the popular Fantasie-Impromptu begins. Growing and continuing its fast flow, the piece flashes between darker emotions and more sweet, savored moments. This contrast gives way to the beautiful middle section, then recurs again, even stronger and darker. Finally, it slows and peacefully fades away.
